Hana began visiting Nantucket with her family in the late 1980s as a young child. Only a 30+ hour journey from Tokyo, Japan, where they lived as expats. Every year, upon arriving on island late at night, she always took a deep breath of the salty air, and stood on the empty tarmac staring up at the twinkling starry sky. Tokyo's city lights never afforded sights like these.
Ahh Nantucket... Home at last.
After attending Harvard University, Williams College, and Washington University in St. Louis, Hana explored countless professions across the globe - including stints as a couture fashion buyer in Paris and Milan, Hollywood personal assistant, journalist, artist, and private chef.
Finally in 2014, Hana discovered the world of residential construction, and fell in love with the controlled chaos that each project seemed to bring. While working for various Nantucket contractors and developers, she was able to bring meticulous organization and polished professionalism to the island's construction industry, setting the stage for a higher caliber of service - and even higher client expectations.
Her greatest passion has been not only meeting those expectations - but exceeding them.
After working as a construction project manager on Nantucket for many years, Hana continued learning the field and honing her skills in Boston and Manhattan, where she worked on luxury high rise and hospitality projects with renowned architects and international contracting teams. She returned to the island full-time in 2020 during the Pandemic, got engaged to a local police sergeant, started her company, and never looked back.
Hana lives mid-island with her husband Travis, and their two pups - Senna and Greyson. They can often be found taking sunset walks together along the shore -
Monomoy is a family favorite.
